A little history...... Gettysburg and Penn State!

Last weekend we took a little trip to Penn State after some trick or treating and candy eating!  We drove on Friday night to York and stayed at a very nice hotel with great big beds and even bigger bathrooms (something I have forgotten about since I have a stand up shower) oh yes and we must not forget about the yummy breakfast!  After a short nights sleep from our late arrival we decided to eat and head to our first stop- the Harley Museum.

Harley First-  We stopped by the museum but they were closed on Saturday so we just went into the lobby and got some pamphlets and some pictures.  Then we stopped at the Harley Shop that has been in the area for a very long time I guess.  Pretty cool place and some need history.  After that we headed on....

Gettysburg Second-  We have all been there once before, minus that Tristyn is only 4!  It was neat to see again and we took thi

s CD toured ride so we could go at our own pace and stop to see what we choose while it tells us all about the war and so on. 

We stopped at Hooters for dinner and to relax OUT of the car and then went back to the hotel.  I took Tristyn swimming at the ICE cold pool and then we 

got a little more sleep.  Next day home but FIRST-----

Then a little Cabella's to end the trip- We started the drive home, stopped and got some fireworks and then went to Cabellas.  It's a very cool place!  HUGE!  We took lots of pictures there of the stuffed animals and the hugeness of the store and had lunch in there food court.  We had Elk, very good, a lot like Roast Beef or sliced steak.  After 4 hours, pictures, a few souvenir type purchases and some FUDGE we headed out.  Took us some time to get out of Jersey once we got in and that was it!  Home Sweet Home!

That was our trip, it was a nice Halloween weekend!!!

Here is Tristyn singing Halloween songs at about 830a on Halloween morning in his class.  All of the students were dressed and they had a party once all of us parents left.  They did a great job.  It's a little bit to get thru, and a little hard to understand at times, but it's cute to watch and a bit funny too.  Feel free to skip thru parts, but the second one watch all the way thru, the teacher gives some direction about it in the beginning.

Birthday party from school and the OFFICIAL costume for Halloween!

Tristyn's first birthday party invite and attendance.  It was pretty cool.  He took a picture with what seems to be the friend he talks to the most, Andrew Benastro (I think that's how it spelled).  The birthday party was for a little blonde boy with a the black shirt name Aidan.  Everyone was very nice.  It was a fun time.  Wore them out!!!!       

After the party we went to battle the masses at Party City to see if we could get the costume he wanted at the very last minute, as always!  SUCCESS!!!  He saw a Power Ranger costume and after wanting Batman all n

ight, decided on the Power Ranger at the last minute.  So we waited.... waited.... got pushed out of the way a couple times by this guy 8 inches taller than me, waited some more..... and finally, out of stock on the Power Ranger, so Batman was the second choice and as you can see we got it, and I didn't even get a complaint out of the peanut gallery!  He walked around the rest of the time with the have face mask on.  Very Happy BOY!!!

The Cutest Thing Ever!!! Well, I Think So, Anyway

Uncle Ed got Tristyn a Razor Pocket Rocket Motorcycle and it fits him perfect. He did so good on it with his little motorcycle gloves and helmet. It was very cute! I don't have much to say about it, except for the fact he stayed on it great and balanced and started learning how to do figure eights! It's so cute to watch and he loves it!

Baby, NYC, FIshing and Tristyn- OH MY!

Alright, now that I have started this blog I have been horrible at keeping up with it.  I have a few moments right now I figure I better do something!!!  October 7th was the first exam appointment with my Clinic and I was able to see the baby for the first time!  It was very exciting.  So far all is good.  All of my blood tests came back the way they were supposed to and she said the baby has a good strong heart beat.   I didn't get to hear it yet, but I suppose that will be at the next apt.  I only gained 1/2 a lb since the first apt on the 22nd, which is very good.  She said I was 10 weeks and 2 days, due May 5.  Cinco De Mayo!  Also the month of our anniversary which I think is sweet.  I am scheduled for another appointment in 4 weeks.  They seem to want to see us sooner at this office than I remember from when I was pregnant with T, but in the end I suppose that's good.  We can't yet tell the sex, obviously, but at about 17-20 weeks we will certainly be finding that out.  We finally tried to tell Tristyn that there was a baby in Mommy's tummy and I think he got it, but am not sure yet.  It hasn't come up since.  I am feeling better and a little less sick everyday, but still have very bad moments.  I will be very excited when this first trimester is over!

Tristyn is doing well, he has a little cough this week but over all healthy and happy as always.  We went to the City on Friday with Cousin Danielle from California and Aunt Melanie, he lasted thru the whole thing.  He got to ride on the train and the subway, Most likely his favorite parts of the day, as well as anytime he got to be out of the stroller.  We went to ground zero, which in most senses is still a big creepy hole in the ground, but its busy, busy all around it now.  We also walked thru The Village some.  We stopped and got my favorite 

pizza from SBarro's on Canal Street and saw all the people walking with bags from all the crazy clothing shops.  We both passed out at 9 that night from not taking a nap during the day, but it was much fun.  

Rob was out this weekend at a fishing tourny with Joe in Long Beach.  They were very tired and smelly when came home.  We went out with them and had Pizza on the Beach Saturday night.  It was a fun evening.  Very peaceful and serene.  

Just a little update.

So, I went to my first doctor appointment on Monday.   In case any of you didn't know I am pregnant about 7-8 weeks.  I didn't meet my doctor yet, but I got a bunch of blood drawn and talked to EVERYONE in the place.  I will meet the doctor on the 7th and get a better idea of how things are going.  I have been feeling a little sick here and there.  If I eat I feel better and then if I happen to wait to long I feel sick again.  Its been fun!  I just wanted to post some new stuff and I will tell ya more later!!!!

Tristyn so far is doing well in school.  We sold candy and have to turn in the money tomorrow.  He likes it from what we can tell.  He stopped saying I don't want to go, where ever it was that he was going that day, mommy.  This week they are learning the the letter 'L'.  They are learning to write the letter and learning words that start with L.  He has been having some trouble with being over eager, but he has calmed down some.  Monday we stayed home because he was sick.  He had a slight fever and a nice green snotty nose.  But he is better now!  Getting on a new schedule and in bed early is helping.

This was the end of the week last week.  I just got the photo's on the computer today.  Tristyn was so exhausted from the week that he went to bed at like 10 pm and slept till 9 the next morning!  I couldn't believe it.  Rob and Maya were also equally as tired, altho I am not sure quite why.  Ha ha ha.

The week has started off well and he seems to be doing well.  I am working all day and it sucks.  I had a bunch of time off and got to sleep so I am gradually getting back into things.  I will give you a major update on Tristyn with in the next few days.  Hugs! XoXoX

Week 1 of School, pretty much over....

So, the week is basically over now, being friday and all, and it was a good week for the most part.  Tough for me going to back to work on Wednesday.  It was a very tired day for me.  Tristyn is having a bit of a hard time getting used to the schedule as he isn't the easy kid to get into bed at night.  He comes home from school around 4 and is SOOOO tired.  He passes out but then is still getting to sleep at night so that I am thankful for.  He has brought home work from class this week.  He is doing well.  Rob talked with his teacher yesterday afternoon and she said that Tristyn is very smart and he does well.  He is a little over eager sometimes which is what gets him into trouble and yes he told me he had his first time out on Tuesday when I picked him. Otherwise she said that overall anything that we were worried about with him, is nothing to worry about right now.  His mouth however is going to get him into trouble, and I can't seem to figure out where that is coming from!!!!!!!!   He He He!  His first time out in his words--- "I was sitting next to the sister, friend with the pink shirt on and I got time out," "Why did you get the timeout?" I asked him. "Because I was talking to her while the teacher was reading a book."    This is exactly how he said it to me.  So cute.  I think he will do well as he gets used to the environment and he learns to relax a little.  Mrs. LaScala, his teacher, said that he even tried to teach the class for her at one point!  The kid will take control of anything if he can!  On Friday last week he brought home his first permission slip.  The candy bar sales game is already upon us!  I couldn't believe it.  I remember selling them BACK in the day!  Wow, the school is trying to make money and it was the first day.  He got his box on Wednesday and I wanted one first, of course.  I took the box to work with me yesterday and sold some and tonight or tomorrow I am going to take him around to a few houses and make him ask people to buy them.  I can't believe it, it all happens so fast once it hits ya!  I just want me little happy all the time baby boy back!  Lol.  Thus why I have all the pictures, memories cuz they sure don't stay little long enough!  

School on Monday

He did so well. They went in early yesterday as there were some crying kids this time. He seems very happy to go. I left him and had the whole day to myself! One more day and then mommy goes back to work also. Tomorrow we all start our schedule. Enjoy the slide show!

First Day of School!!

Tristyn started school today!!!  I can't believe it!  He is getting so big and just the other day I think he was just turning one and shoving his little cupcake in his mouth, the whole thing.  He is attending St. Aidan's Parish School, which is only like 4 blocks from us.  Rob and his best friend both attended the school from pre-k to 7th.  Anyway, we had a parent orientation yesterday and I took him in the morning for about 20 minutes to see his teacher and classroom.  He didn't want to sit in his chair and all he could say is "mommy look at all those toys."  Today I dropped him off and waited for the teacher to take them  inside.  We walked the three blocks and he carried his back pack that Tracy got him the whole way.  It was so cute.  I asked if he wanted help and he said no.  My big boy!  So we waited outside for the teacher and he was watching the kids play, we don't know anyone yet.  The teacher came, Mrs. LaScala, and he said "Mommy don't leave me here," I started to tear and said that I would be here when he was done.  He asked if I was going to wait for him and I said yes.  Of course big hugs and I love you so much and I will see you in a couple hours.  He first didn't want to get into the line but then did it anyway.  He was waving at me, saying I love you mom, bye bye, wait for me. (you can see in the photos)  It was hard to watch him walk up those stairs!  Sniffle!  But I did it and walked home.  I had some nice alone time and then went back to pick him up at 11.  He saw me standing outside as the Teacher kept them behind her to tell us parents quick what happened that day.  No Crying kids today and they had fun.  Drew a photo to go in there portfolio so we can see how they have changed at the end of the year.  Got to play on the smart board and he said they learned to sit still and listen to the teacher.  Monday starts the first full day and I am happy that I get to drop him and pick him up both Monday and Tuesday, it gives him a little chance to get used to things.  I will be able to drop him off in the mornings before work, but Rob will pick him up in the after noon at the after school program that they have.  He is going to be learning a letter every week and let me tell you it's pretty much like kindergarten!  Reading and writing is going to be the new homework!!  I will keep you posted on progress!!!!!!!!

I Welcome Myself and You!

Well here goes nothing I suppose!  I should prolly start by recapping life a little.  There are I am sure a few confused people out there.  So again, here goes nothing-  

It's September 5 and I am going back a year.  Most of you know about what was going on then.  After moving myself and Tristyn to New York, Williston Park on Long Island to be exact, we settled in to Rob's space and took over!  Ha ha.  It's kind of what I do.  We are living currently in the same place, Rob's grandfather's house with him, his uncle and his wife.  We have made it ours with the little we have right now.  Time went on, my looking for a job and Rob working for Valente Contracting Corp.  He is a laborer, working hard and coming home dirty!  I finally found a job working for a good company- RE/MAX of New York, Inc..  They are the headquarters of RE/MAX in the state of NY.  I was a receptionist.  It was nice, hard for me as I have never done anything like that, in the structure they require, before.  I got the job in December right before Rob stopped working for the winter.  We took a Holiday trip to WI for a visit.  I was very home sick.  When we got back we decided that it was time to get this wedding on the drawing board and make some decisions (Rob asked the previous summer shortl after we got here, I believe it was July) since waiting and waiting wasn't getting us anywhere.  We finally picked a date, 5-23.  What luck, Memorial Day Weekend!  The kick off for the summer, it seemed fitting somehow.  So the planning started shortly there after.  We picked a place and got all the details worked out.  Just as the wedding was approaching things went badly at work and I lost my job the Monday of the week before.  It was really horrible and the timing was horrible.  I was really angry and why I was let go is just stupid and awful!  But...  Whatever!!!!!   Ha ha.  So the wedding came.  Daddy, brother and sister, Mom and Ben and the BFF Jeni came into town and we had a party.  The wedding was wonderful.  We had a great weekend and had a lot of fun with everyone.  It was a good time.  So then came the job search for me.  I finally found a job, photography at that!  Irvin Simon Photographers is where I am working now.  They do school, camp and sports photos for most all of New York and into RI, CT, PA and they even fly some places for VERY important jobs that I assume pay well!  I worked for the month of July and into August and now start again for the fall September 10th.  Rob is working a lot and taking steps towards his CDL, he wants to be a truck driver.  I think he finally knows what he wants to be when he grows up.  Ha ha.  I am also looking into some teaching opportunities that are here in the area.  Being a Teacher Assistant gives you benefits and anything with teaching can get you a job anywhere.
